Meet Mike Flynn

senior pastor

Mike started his journey with Christ at the age of 17. He was radically saved at a home for troubled teens. After completing the year-long program Mike, stayed at the home to serve as a missionary for 4 years. He worked as a mentor to troubled teens and served in other ministries. Mike started preaching in a traveling group. They went across the country speaking to teens in detention centers, jails, churches, public, and Christian schools. He shared the same hope of Christ that transformed his life. He also spent 9 months, working with orphans and teens in Korosten, Ukraine.

Mike left that ministry to attend Bible college in Missouri. He wanted to study theology, play sports, and learn more about ministry. It was there he met his wife Samantha and started his first pastoral ministry with a small country church. After 8 years serving as the student pastor, Mike and Samantha were called to a large church in Orlando, Florida.

Mike has been a coach, landscaper, and EMT. He loves to play sports, chess, martial arts, the outdoors, and loves spending time with his three young children and wife. He is passionate about the church and it’s mission to create disciples. Mike loves to teach the word of God and wants the church to meet people where they are at. “It is not enough to just go to church. We must be the church everywhere we go!” His family is excited to move back to the Midwest and begin a new chapter and position in ministry.

Luke Richardson

youth pastor

Luke started following Jesus when he was 19 years old. He began helping out in youth ministry very shortly after that in 2010, in Bloomington, Indiana where he was born and raised. He was attending Indiana University studying Kinesiology when he felt the call to ministry on his life and transferred to Bible College in Missouri in the Spring of 2011.

He served in youth ministry throughout his time in Bible College, where he played Soccer, was an R.A., served on camp teams for three years, and served as the campus event coordinator as well. He met his wife Jenna there, and they got married in 2014. He graduated at the end of the Fall semester that year with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. He and his wife moved down to southern Missouri where they were youth pastors for a couple of years before they felt God calling them to sell everything and move out to California, in pursuit of God and what He had for them out there.

They worked with a missions organization called YWAM, which serves as an on ramp to mobilize young people to the mission field. They lived in the Tenderloin district in San Francisco that is home to 8,000-10,000 homeless people where they led youth groups on mission trips around the city and do evangelism and community outreach. They served there in an internship and a discipleship training school in San Jose and were offered to stay out there and work toward starting a discipleship program. However, they felt God calling them back into the organized church to be youth pastors again.

God led them to a church in Northern Indiana where they spent 5 years as youth pastors where Luke also coached Boys High School Soccer and Track and Field, and designed and installed a Disc Golf Course. He has always had a passion for reaching the next generation and tries to be involved in any way that he can to accomplish that. His ministry verse is 1 Timothy 1:5 which says, “But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

Luke, his wife Jenna, and son Smith moved here to Vincennes, Indiana in June of 2022 and leads the Youth and Young Adult Ministries. He helps coach the High School Boys Lincoln Soccer team and is also involved at South Knox in FCA and a weekly prayer meeting.
